Who and how can I help?
International Mobile Families
In my online and in-person private practice, I help families to navigate the challenges of international transitions. As a mother of three who has experienced multiple international transitions, I am committed to helping families who are facing the challenges of moving and adapting to a new country. I believe ongoing support can provide families with successful transition experiences and enhance family wellbeing.
International Schools
As a Chartered Member with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and licensed psychologist in Belgium, I am passionate about applying positive psychology to empower children, young people and their families.

Often when you move abroad it can be a challenge to find the right support if you have concerns about your child’s learning and progress. I provide a tailored, comprehensive assessment of your child’s strengths and needs. This process usually involves:

-
Parent and teacher consultation
-
School observation of the child/young person in class
-
Individual psycho-educational assessments (i.e. cognitive, literacy, numeracy)
-
Full written report, outlining nature of involvement, results of assessment work, and suggestions for next steps/strategies to support your child at home and school
-
School support to review the child/young person’s progress, 6-8 weeks after initial involvement
The assessment can take place either at school or within our offices. Several aspects of the assessment can be carried out digitally making it an enjoyable and interactive experience for your child. Children love the fun assessment sessions and often leave feeling happier and more confident in their unique learning abilities.
Companies
My research suggests many organisations view international family transition as a one-off event. However, working with mobile families clearly shows that international family transition is a gradual and complex process which requires ongoing support. The lack of understanding about the ongoing impact of transition on families often leads to delays in providing essential support.
I offer counselling support to families prior to departure and throughout the first year in their new host country. I also provide bespoke transitions training to HR professionals. This training helps companies to better understand the complexity of international relocation and how best to support their expatriates, ultimately resulting in successful outcomes for both the company and expatriate family.
